Who we are

FaultAid (faultaid.co.uk) is run by Javier Contreras, a UK sole trader based in England, trading as FaultAid. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Javier Contreras trading as FaultAid. Contact: hello@faultaid.co.uk.

General information only

FaultAid gives general information about appliance faults, based on manufacturer guidance. It isn’t professional advice about your specific appliance, and error code meanings can vary by model. Always check your manual. Where it differs from FaultAid, follow your manual.

Your safety

Only carry out checks you feel confident doing, and follow the stop signs on every page. Never work on gas appliances, anything live, or anything behind a panel. If in doubt, stop and contact the manufacturer or a qualified engineer. Read our safety information.

Accuracy

We check our pages against manufacturer sources and show the date we last checked them, but manufacturers update their guidance and we can’t guarantee every page is complete or current. Please tell us if you spot a mistake.

Other websites

We link to manufacturer, regulator and retailer websites. We aren’t responsible for their content. Some links are affiliate links: see our affiliate disclosure.

Trade marks

Brand and product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify appliances. FaultAid isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, we aren’t liable for loss or damage arising from repairs or checks you choose to carry out.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute about them will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
