LG washing machine codes | Code | Meaning | Severity |
| CL | The child (control) lock is on. It isn’t a fault. | Not a fault |
| dE | The washing machine couldn’t lock its door. | Usually simple |

| IE | The tub hasn’t filled to the level LG expects within about 8 minutes. | Usually simple |
| LE | The motor can’t turn the drum normally (LG calls it a motor locked error). | Check carefully |
| OE | The washing machine can’t drain the water out. | Check carefully |
| PE | LG’s UK list names PE as a pressure sensor error: the machine can’t read its water level correctly. | Likely needs an engineer |
| tCL | tCL relates to LG’s Tub Clean programme. It is a reminder or status message, not a fault. | Not a fault |
| UE | The laundry has bunched up on one side of the drum, so the machine can’t spin safely. | Usually simple |
Miele washing machine codes | Code | Meaning | Severity |
| F10 | The water inlet is blocked or restricted. | Usually simple |
