Samsung Dishwasher Error Codes
Newer Samsung models show codes ending in C (such as 4C) and older ones show the same fault ending in E (such as 4E). Samsung warns that 5 and S, and 3 and E, can look alike on the display, so check the code carefully.
Codes can vary by model
Check the model number on your dishwasher’s rating label and your manual. We only list codes we’ve checked against Samsung guidance. For anything else, use Samsung UK support.
| Code | What it means | Severity |
|---|---|---|
| 4C also 4E | Little or no fresh water is entering the dishwasher. | Usually simple |
| 5C also 5E | The water level doesn’t drop when the dishwasher expects it to drain. | Check carefully |
| HC also HE | The dishwasher has stopped because the temperature inside is too high. | Check carefully |
| LC also LE | The dishwasher has detected a leak. | Likely needs an engineer |
