Samsung error codes and help

Newer Samsung models show codes ending in C (such as 4C) and older ones show the same fault ending in E (such as 4E). Samsung warns that 5 and S, and 3 and E, can look alike on the display, so check the code carefully.

Where sources disagree

For HC, Samsung’s own pages don’t all say the same thing. Those pages explain the difference and give the safest set of checks.

Finding your model number

Many Samsung codes depend on the model. The model and serial number are printed on the appliance’s rating label. Your manual shows exactly where it is. Have both ready before you contact Samsung or an engineer.
